Create/Update Profile
- Navigate to Apps in the Slack menu and select Profile For Slack.
- Click on Create Profile to set up your profile.
- Once created, you can update your profile anytime.
- Share your profile in a group, channel, or direct message by typing
/whois @username. You will get two options:
- View the profile for yourself in that group, DM, or channel.
- Share the profile with everyone in that space.
Give Praise
- Navigate to Apps in the Slack menu and select Profile For Slack.
- Select one or multiple colleagues to send praise.
- Share the praise in a channel or direct message.
- Ensure that
@ProfileForSlack is part of the channel. If not, invite it using /invite @ProfileForSlack.
Praise Leaderboard
- Navigate to Apps in the Slack menu and select Profile For Slack.
- View top individuals who have received or given praise over time.
Coffee Chat
- Navigate to Apps in the Slack menu and select Profile For Slack.
- You are automatically enrolled in coffee chat pairing once you create your profile and pairing is enabled by your admin.
- If you do not want to participate, go to the app, click on Coffee Chat, and disable coffee chat pairing.
Watercooler Chat
- Navigate to Apps in the Slack menu and select Profile For Slack.
- Select topics, time, and the channel for engagement.
- The bot will send a conversation starter in the selected channel to encourage team discussions and fun moments.
Add Celebrations
- Navigate to Apps in the Slack menu and select Profile For Slack.
- Add your birthday and work anniversary in the settings.
- Enable the option Receive Birthday and Work Anniversary Wishes in the Channel if you want notifications in the channel selected by your admin.
